Activity Host and Participation Terms

Last updated 6 October 2026

DRAFT - pending legal review. This policy is a first draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

These terms apply when you host or join an activity on First Responder Sports Hub.

For hosts

  • Every activity you submit is reviewed by an administrator before it goes live. Key changes to a live activity are reviewed again.
  • Describe the activity accurately: date, time, location, cost, skill level, what to bring and who it is for.
  • Choose a safe, suitable location and check that you are allowed to use it. Book and pay for any venue yourself unless agreed otherwise.
  • Hosts are volunteers, not employees or agents of First Responder Sports Hub. You are responsible for running your activity safely, including a basic check of the space and equipment.
  • If you charge a cost, it must only cover reasonable expenses such as venue hire or equipment. Payments are arranged directly between you and participants; we do not process them.
  • Cancel as early as possible if you cannot run the activity. Participants who joined will be notified.
  • You will see the first names of people who join. Use this only to run the activity.

For participants

  • You take part at your own risk. Tell the host about any injury or condition that may affect your safety.
  • Arrive on time, bring what is listed and follow the host's reasonable instructions.
  • Leave the activity on the platform if you can no longer attend.
  • You are responsible for any children or family members you bring.
