These terms apply to everyone who uses First Responder Sports Hub. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can join
- Membership is for serving and former first responders in Australia, starting with Western Australia, and family members they sponsor.
- You must give accurate information and complete verification. We may refuse, suspend or close an account if eligibility cannot be confirmed.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
Using the platform
- First Responder Sports Hub helps members find venues, activities and groups. We do not run the venues, or most activities, ourselves.
- Venue information (including addresses, opening hours, sports, prices and offers) is provided in good faith but may be incomplete or out of date. Please check with the venue before you go.
- Venues are responsible for their own services, facilities, safety and terms.
- The Sports Hub does not take bookings or payments. "Book on venue's website" opens the venue's own website, whose terms apply.
- You must follow the Member Code of Conduct and, if you host or join activities, the Activity Host and Participation Terms.
Acceptable use
When you write reviews, send enquiries, report listings or take part in groups, you agree to: - Be honest and base reviews on your own genuine experience of the venue. - Be respectful. No abusive, threatening, discriminatory or offensive content. - Not post fake, misleading or spam content, or reviews of venues you have a business connection with. - Not include personal information about other people (such as names, photos, contact details or health details) without their permission. - Not include health or medical details. Reviews describe personal experience only; they are not medical advice or proof that a venue or activity has any health or clinical benefit. - Use listing reports only to tell us about genuinely incorrect information.
Our right to moderate
We may hide, restore or remove reviews, replies, posts, activities, groups and other content, and limit, suspend or close accounts, if we reasonably believe they break these terms or the Member Code of Conduct. Hidden content may be kept so it can be restored.
Participation at your own risk
- Sport and physical activity carry a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for judging whether an activity is suitable for your fitness, health and skill level.
- To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from activities, venues or other members.
- Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Content you share
You keep ownership of content you post (such as activity descriptions, reviews and posts) and give us permission to display it on the platform. Claimed venues may publicly reply to reviews about their venue.
Changes and ending your account
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we will let you know in the app. You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing firstrespondersocceracademy@gmail.com.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
